Kings Of Leon Cancel St. Louis Concert Because Of Bird Shit

I haven’t been posting often because I am a busy guy, but I need to write this on my blog so that I will be reminded of the respect that I have lost for Kings Of Leon. KOL has been my favorite band for some time now, I love the music, and it makes me feel good and I think they have a disgusting amount of talent. One of the best bands to come out in years. I didn’t think that I was going to be able to get to the show but last minute, I found a real nice dude on craigslist that sold me 3 tickets for the pit at a really low price, and I was totally psyched.

So we got to the show to find out that it was 100 degrees with 100% humidity, and they were charging $5 for a bottle of water. It was my first time to the venue and to my amazement, they build the venue in such a way that the sun set’s right onto the stage which I think is asinine for St. Louis because of how disgusting and hot it gets here. That didn’t stop us. We waited in the pit for 3 hours, through 2 bands. The first band was pretty awesome, new and refreshing and the second was completely torturous.

During the first 2 sets, we could clearly see that bird crap was falling from the ceiling onto the bassist’s of both bands. Pretty nasty I know but what are you going to do about a nest of baby birds? Maybe the venue should have put in preventative spikes to stop them from nesting up there but regardless, it was happening so they resolved it by moving the bassist’s a few feet to the left, and that was the end of it.. we thought.

Finally, KOL comes out and everyone was psyched, it made me feel like the 3 hours spend soaked in my clothes was worth it. 3 songs in we see bassist Jared Followill got shit on his shoulder from one of the birds, and he stormed off of the stage and was followed by the rest of the band.

Anyway. I have been to over 500 concerts and thought I had seen it all but this one tops it all. I’ve seen bands play in the rain, snow, blood, mud and the list goes on. One pussy gets baby bird crap on his shoulder and runs off stage crying. Spoiled pussies.

Barack Obama Rally – St Louis Arch

This had to have been one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. On Saturday, Obama spoke a few miles from our house at the gateway arch in St Louis. While his speech was pretty much the same as everything I have heard in his debates and commercials, it was a great feeling to see so many people show up to see somebody who really wants to change this country. I have never been into politics until this election and I was against Obama until I actually got a chance to hear him out. Over 150,000 people showed up to see his speech, it was a GREAT day. Only 2 more weeks until it is time to vote so PLEASE VOTE everyone!

David Archuleta American Idol Forum

I have begun several new projects. One of them is a major website that is going to be gigantic and i cannot get into it right now, but I have a team of people working on it for me. It should be done in a few months and I will post more information as it becomes available.

One project that I just started is a fan forum for American Idol contestant David Archuleta. The kid is incredible and wether or not he wins American Idol, he will be a superstar.

The forum is GONE and it JUST started out and has no members as of today but that is going to pick up real fast as i am going to have some incentives for people to subscribe.

I am not really a fan of American Idol, but I know talent when i see it and this kid is only 16 and will be a superstar.

I was browsing TMZ this morning and i saw a cool video of Tilda Swinton signing for fans and letting them hold her Oscar. I know some celebs are really rude to their fans but this was really awesome of her and makes me have much respect! Check the video out here

Evanescence Concert Weekend

Getting to hang out with Evanescence was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I am beyond being in awe over how amazing Amy Lee is and how cool her band mates are.

Friday night, Patrick & I drove up to Umass Amherst and saw them perform. Amy Lee was incredible as always. I was so glad to bring Patrick because I wanted him to see why her music means so much to me and i think i achieved that goal It was a great night, but a very long drive!

Saturday, Ami and i drove down to the Ryan Center at URI and hung out with the band before the show and got to see the behind the scene stuff and tour the venue, etc. When Amy Lee first approached me, i started tearing up and she said to me “How are ya doing?” and i said “Im so nervous”, she replied with the cutest response “Whyyyyyyyyy”?. And i started laughing and then we talked more. It was so intense i cannot even put it to words. I did give her my music, she promised to listen. She was so grateful of it that it made me feel so good. To be able to give my biggest inspiration the music that she inspires me to make was probably one of the best experiences of my life.

I got a photo pass and was able to take a few hundred photos when she came on stage. There are 4 of them below. You can click the pictures to see the full sized versions, but i limited the size because i have to add copyright watermarks to them. I have a whole day of editing photos to do, but when i do so, i will be making a page dedicated to the photos right here on my blog Just give me a few days to get to it! President George Bush Meets This Gay Guy

George Bush visited my state yesterday and as much as i dislike him as the President of the USA, i NEEDED to meet him. He came to Rhode Island for a few different speeches and to meet with some families, etc. I decided to borrow my bothers United States Army uniform so that I could get ‘in’ to meet Mr. President even though i could have done it without.. it was fun to wear it

I know, I’m gay, and I should not wear my brothers uniform, and George Bush is against gay marriage, but i thought it would be fun. He may be a ‘homophobe’, but he is cool in person, even is he is against ‘my people’ getting married

Paris Hilton Out Of Jail

At 12:15 a.m. Pacific Time, The hotel heiress was released from her Los Angeles jail after serving 23 days in prison for violating her probation on a reckless driving charge.

The paparazzi, fans and reporters swarmed her release from jail as paris smiled and waved before running to greet her mother and father in their vehicle.

She was escorted home by police, helicopters and fans where she ran around her yard with her dog Tinkerbell.

On a poll taken at CNN, 70% of the voters said that they did not care about her getting out or not, and that she should just go away.. yet why all of the media frenzy.. why is everyone watching her on the news.

She may not sing well and her acting sucks, but she is a fashion icon, she is sexy and she is famous for being famous. In my opinion, she rules and i hope this taught her a lesson. Here is the video of her release. Enjoy and CONGRATS Paris!

Thank You Gladys Hardy & More Stuff!

In one of my earlier posts i mentioned that everyone should go and order the merch from www.gladyshardy.com and it send a lot of traffic. Her family was nice and kind that they contacted me and today i got a HUGE package with tons of stuff, even a signed beer can holder, Gladys called me a peach, i just love her. If you have not seen the original blog post yet with the video of her on the Ellen Degeneres show then you need to watch it, SO adorable!@! You can see that post here! There is a photo of me and Legend (my dog) below holding all the cool stuff they sent me! Thank you Hardy family!!!

After an hour on the phone with my psychic (yes i know, im weird, but its always been right and gives me hope), i learned about some new things that will take place in my life. Most of it was good. Some of it was bad, but with life, bad comes with good and ying comes with yang. On that note, i connected with someone in a way that i have never connected with anyone before IN MY LIFE and i am looking forward to seeing where it brings me.. if anywhere.
