I am not one to complain about people that help so many people in the world and does so much good for the world but after seeing the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday, I need to say my feelings on her.
As everybody knows, Ellen Degeneres is the big competition for Oprah Winfrey. Yesterday on the Ellen Show, Ellen announced that she would be getting married to her partner Porsche De Rossi since the state of California overturned the ruling that gay marriage is illegal. It was also her 50th birthday show and recap of her massive birthday party. Also, she had Justin Timberlake as her guest, so it was a big show for her.
I understand that in the TV world people need to compete with each other but Oprah has continued to be a monopoly for years and now that Ellen is catching up, Oprah needs to give away more money to keep her awful viewers watching her show.
After the Ellen show yesterday, Oprah came on and did her “I was not going to do this but after thought and talk with my producers I have decided to do a FAVORITE SUMMER THINGS!!!!!!!” (you have to imagine her awful voice saying it and drawing out favorite summer things).
This woman makes a living off of giving away money. I wanted to vomit when i saw all of the overweight, greedy people in her audience start to cry and almost faint after she announced what the show was all about. Even if you don’t watch Oprah, you probably know that every year she has a favorite holiday show she she has given out everything from cars to new kitchens, etc. But her audience ends up all leaving with tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
In my opinion it is low of her, really low. She has to keep her viewers watching and to do that, she has to keep giving away more things that she does not even pay for, its paid for by the companies that own the products that she is giving away. Its good PR, what Oprah says is what her brainwashed viewers do. SICK.
I hate bringing politics into this, but I have to bring up my thoughts on Barack Obama & Oprah. I am a Clinton supporter but what I have to say has no relevance to my opinion on Oprah & Barack. I believe that not only has Oprah paid for the majority of his campaign somehow even though the rules limit how much money people can donate. I believe that Oprah’s influence on her brainwashed viewers is the reason why he has done so well in his campaign. It makes me ill to think that 1 people can brainwash so many people and in the end it effects all of us.
I watch her show daily because I run my business from home so the TV is on in the background. I have watched for years and I have grown sicker and sicker each year. She favors African American people so bluntly on her show yet she fights for equal rights.
I cannot wait until her career is over and somebody who loves everyone as equals takes her place in the TV spotlight
I can’t believe you have only one channel!! luckily Oprah and The Alan D show is on at the same time, but I prefer Al Jazeera
